Stanley Edgar, SERE Managing Director, started out in the car business with a portakabin beside his home. The company name 'SERE' stands for the names of its founding partners, Stanley Edgar and his wife Rosemary Edgar.

Our first Used Car Supermarket opened in February 2000. The 4.5 acre site based on the Moira Road, Lisburn, can house up to 500 cars. When the Supermarket was first launched demand actually outstripped supply with over 200 cars being sold in the first week.

It was the success of the Lisburn site which convinced Managing Director, Stanley Edgar, to expand the idea to Belfast's 'motor mile' - the Boucher Road.

The Belfast Used Car Supermarket houses over 200 quality used cars in addition to a parts and service department. The new site was an immediate success and soon SERE had celebrated serving over 50,000 customers.
