Stanley Says – Paris Motor Show & Future Releases
Yesterday marked a huge day on the international motoring calendar with the start of one of the biggest car exhibitions in the world, the Paris Motor Show.
The show officially known as the Mondial de L’Automobile is any petrol-head or car enthusiasts’ dream, due to its long-standing reputation of unveiling the most bizarre concepts, innovative designs and the premiers of the latest models in the industry.
The press preview day held yesterday and today revealed new models from the likes of Citroen, Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes and Peugeot and featured the full public debuts of super cars such as the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T and the all-new Porsche Panamera E-hybrid.
Our SERE franchises Mitsubishi, SEAT and SsangYong were in attendance at the event in Paris with new models but in there concept forms only.
Mitsubishi revealed the concept design for a brand new mid-sized hybrid SUV named as the ‘Ground Tourer’ PHEV or officially called the GT-PHEV and is described as the “latest expressions” of their design journey and is powered by the brand’s plug-in hybrid electric technology.
SEAT showcased their Ateca X-Perience concept, a rough and ready crossover version of their Ateca model which was launched earlier in September.
And one of the most talked about models at the Paris Motor Show this year was SsangYong’s new Rexton LIV-2 concept which is set to be released in 2017. The brand are expecting this model to amplify their presence in the global market after such success with their Tivoli model. The LIV-2 is set to be an executive SUV which has been exclusively developed to take the brand into new areas of the market.
The Paris Motor Show runs from 1st- 16th October 2016.
