Low engine oil be damaging to your car’s engine, and this light alerts you that your vehicle’s oil pressure is too low or the oil temperature is too high. This can be due to low oil levels or a malfunctioning oil pump which means that the oil is not lubricating the engine effectively. If this light remains on after you fully release the parking brake, or comes on whilst driving, it can indicate an issue with the braking system. This could be that your car has low brake fluid or it can suggest a problem with the anti-lock braking system (ABS). This can be with the airbag itself, the front passenger occupant classification system which detects the front passenger’s weight and position in order to safely deploy the airbag, or the seatbelt pretensioner system which tightens the belt in the event of a crash. It's crucial to address this promptly, as compromised airbags may not deploy properly in the event of a collision - or in some cases may deploy unexpectedly and cause an accident. 

The ESP light indicates a problem with your vehicles’ traction control. If the light is flashing, it means that the ESP system is intervening, for instance if you are driving on a slippery road. However, if the light stays on, it means that the ESP system is not working properly and if accompanied with the word ‘OFF”, it means that the system has been deactivated. To check the ESP, try stopping and restarting the engine, if the light remains on after restarting visit a mechanic to check as it is an important safety feature in your vehicle. 

This warning light signals that there is an issue with your cars’ power steering. Often this problem is a simple fix and requires turning the car off and back on again after 30 seconds. However, if the problem persists after trying this, you should get your car checked out by a mechanic as you will notice that the car is harder to manoeuvre and it can be dangerous to drive at high motorway speeds.
