JOINING THE SCHEME

As long as you receive a qualifying mobility allowance with at least 12 months left you can join the scheme. You can visit the Motability website to check if you’re eligible, and it only takes a couple of minutes.

The Sales Executives at SERE Motors will help you decide which of our vehicles will suit you and your lifestyle best. Whether you want a small runabout or need a family estate, and we have electric cars available on the scheme as well. 

PAYMENT

Motability makes paying simple - they receive your payments directly from your allowance provider so you don’t have to think about it. How much you pay depends on the allowance you receive, and you may need to top this up with an Advance Payment, although we have a range of nil advance payment vehicles available. An Advance Payment is the amount which is due upfront for some vehicles and is a fixed amount which is confirmed when you order your car. If you’re new to the Motability Scheme, you can trade in your old car to help pay for your Advance Payment.

APPLICATION

Your dedicated Sales Executive at SERE Motors will work with you to apply for the Motability Scheme and order your new car. However, you can start the application online.

RECEIVE YOUR NEW CAR

Once your car arrives with us, we will check everything’s ok and let you know when it’s ready to collect. To collect your new vehicle, you will need to bring a proof of identity (e.g. UK passport, driving license) for the customer or their appointee, the driving license (if another driver is collecting and driving the vehicle away), and the PIN sent by Motability (you can find this in your online account).

Motability will arrange your insurance cover for you, and you can add up to three named drivers and can change these at any time. 

Motability will cover your regular services and routine repairs to keep your vehicle running perfectly. 

Motability will give you breakdown cover, so you can travel with peace of mind. 

Motability will arrange and cover the standard cost of a home charge point and its installation, or give you access to the bp pulse network of over 9,000 chargepoints.
