Cash for Kids - Mission Christmas 2023

No child should face the disappointment of waking up on Christmas morning to no presents under the tree, but unfortunately, the current cost of living crisis has put even more children at risk of this experience. With a difficult choice between heating or eating this winter, some families will see Christmas as an unaffordable luxury, but Cash for Kids is on a mission to make a difference. 

In response to this urgent need, Mission Christmas by Cash for Kids is back to bring the joy of Christmas to children and young people in Northern Ireland. SERE Group agrees that every child deserves to enjoy life to the fullest, and we are proud to once again support Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas, through fundraising and collecting gift donations. Together we can ensure that every child in Northern Ireland is visited by Santa. 

Both our showrooms in Belfast and Lisburn, as well as Bodytech body shop in Carrickfergus will have a collection under our Christmas trees, eagerly awaiting Santa’s delivery to children across Northern Ireland. Our donation boxes are open to anyone who wishes to donate and will be under our trees until the 18th of December when we will deliver them to the Mission Christmas HQ. Mission Christmas ask for donations for girls and boys aged 0 to 18, so there are plenty of gifts to choose from, but if you are struggling to think of what to buy, we have a quick guide. When purchasing gifts, please keep in mind that Mission Christmas states they especially need gifts for babies and teenagers. Donations can be made in person, online, or as a cash donation. Last year the gifts piled up underneath our glistening Christmas trees and we hope for the same outcome this year. 

We will also be organising our annual Christmas jumper day and bake sale on Friday 15th of December to raise funds for Mission Christmas where we will be jingling our bells and truly getting into the Christmas spirit whilst raising money for a cause so close to our hearts and homes. We encourage our customers to join us in spreading the Christmas cheer and purchase some tasty treats, you could even take a wee test drive whilst you are in!  

Gift donations are being accepted at both Belfast and Lisburn showrooms, as well as Bodytech in Carrickfergus. SERE Group urges everyone, if possible, to donate in any way they can this Christmas, emphasising that no child should experience Christmas as just another ordinary day. With collective help, every child in Northern Ireland can cherish a special Christmas with a visit from Santa.
