Advance Driver Assistance Systems have been developed rapidly in recent years that will identify and even act on safety critical situations.
These recent additions to modern vehicles for example:
Antilock braking – this feature is designed to stop your car losing traction if you brake sharply, making it less likely for your car to skid.
Electronic Stability Control – when ESC detects loss of steering it automatically applies the brakes to help steering the vehicle.
Autonomous Emergency Braking – this safety technology monitors the road and will automatically brake if the driver fails to respond to a collision threat
Lane Keep Assist – this provides a monitor that will initiate automatic steering to keep the vehicle from departing the road.
Intelligent Speed Assistance – Using GPS- linked speed limit data this feature will advise the driver of their current roads speed limit and provide a warning if their speed falls above this limit.
Front and Rear Parking Sensors –will provide the driver with a warning to alert them of the possibility of a collision.
