A BRIEF HISTORY

SERE Motors was established in 1990 by Founder and Managing Director, Stanley Edgar. When Stanley started selling cars from his home, car demand rapidly increased, and so did the need for dedicated sales centres and service garages. SERE grew quickly with Stanley opening showrooms and service departments in both Belfast and Lisburn and a body shop repair centre in Carrickfergus. The SERE Group has since evolved into several subsidiary companies, most recently within the medical and aviation industries.

THE NAME ‘SERE’

SERE is often mispronounced. It is in fact the initials of both Stanley Edgar and his wife Rosemary. The correct pronunciation is S - E - R - E. Not “Seer” which we hear all too often! We are a family-run, award-winning dealer with a familiar name that has become a popular and recognised logo across thousands of car rear windshields over the years.

THE FUTURE

With technology advancing so quickly, and the move towards a greener and more sustainable future, exciting changes are taking place whilst our industry continues to evolve. And with that, we have a few changes of our own.

OUR NEW LOGO

The SERE logo has evolved into a modern design, combining its heritage with a contemporary visual identity. Our aim was to evolve the current SERE logo whilst emphasising who we are and what we do. The new design pays homage to SERE, whilst giving a fresh, bold new look that will appeal to both our established and loyal customer base, and speak to new audiences.

You will start to see our new logo rolled out over the next few weeks, followed by a very exciting new website launch. SERE Motors are proud to be your local family-run car dealership.
